Summer Movie Auction 2025
Bonus · published 2025-04-27 · archive #315

[0:00:00] Andrew: Hello and welcome to the movie battle of 2025. We are back once again. Your champion, your grand champion here to introduce Mr. Twisters himself in the battle. We're back once again. We have the list of summer films. We're going to do an auction. We each have 98 points. We will run through each movie, bid on them. Then once you have all the movies that you compiled, we total the domestics across the summer. Whoever makes the most money with the movies they own wins the battle. There was some confusion last year, but then we got it. It went really well, I would say. I had a lot of fun with it as the winner.
[0:00:45] Eric: I thought it was great. The audience really liked it. It was a lot of fun. I think before we start, we should talk about the terms of where this starts and where it ends.
[0:00:55] Andrew: Like, what's our begin date and what's our cutoff date? May 1st, I believe, is our start. And then we end, I believe, September 1st. Last year we went end of September. We could go end of September again if we want. I think the last film comes out end of August, so maybe we go end of September. So first day of October.
[0:01:15] Gavin: So did none of these movies come out earlier than the May 1st?
[0:01:18] Geoff: No. That's a five-month window to wait, though. Pretty meaty time. Yeah. Didn't we do it longer last time? I thought we started late last year, but maybe we didn't.
[0:01:28] Andrew: Oh, we started like a week late, but it really was essentially the same time period. It went by quick.
[0:01:33] Eric: All right, let's do it. Here's the thing. In New York, New York, fall will officially start on September 22nd.
[0:01:39] Gavin: Oh. There you go. There you go. Well, we live in Austin. Summer lasts about eight months.
[0:01:45] Eric: Oh, that's true. Okay, hang on. When does fall start in Austin, Texas? Let me find out. December 17th. Monday. Hang on. September. It is the 22nd. So that will be, I think maybe that's it. Maybe that's when the official end of this will be. It'll be September 22nd. No more past the 21st, the 22nd, the official last day. Okay. I'm okay with that. They're making another Jurassic World movie. How have you not seen the trailer for that? It's a video game. It's so crazy. It's kind of a reboot. It's another reboot. Yeah. It is. They keep going. Those other ones aren't important, dude. This one, this one's for the fans.
[0:02:24] Geoff: Isn't this one, there's like another island, but this island has all the like criminal, like evil dinosaurs that are just like, it's like the Arkham Asylum for dinosaurs. Australia dinosaurs. Let me tell you that I'm so excited for the plot of this because people
[0:02:42] Eric: can't wait to see it, which is insane. It is guys. There's a secret island where all the worst dinosaurs are. It's like, why didn't you kill them? Whatever. But in order for us to get some kind of cure for something, we have to go to the secret island and collect DNA from the land dinosaur, the water dinosaur, and the air dinosaur, like it is a PlayStation 2 game. That's great. Awesome. I cannot believe they made this movie.
[0:03:12] Nick: Why do they keep, it's the raptors and the T-Rex. That's what people like.
[0:03:16] Eric: Right. But what if we invent newer, crazier dinosaurs?
[0:03:20] Gavin: Yeah. What an absolute shower of shit. I can't wait to put 98 points on that movie.
[0:03:25] Eric: Yeah, absolutely. Yeah. Uh, well, we, uh, speaking of 98 points, we all have 98 points to bid here. So, uh, last time we did this, I think we took some really big swings on stuff like minions and Deadpool. However, this run of movies here is like, this is crazy. There's so many, big, big, big movies that if you don't get one of them, maybe you get one of the other ones because dude, there's some huge ones in here. I'm really curious. We have, uh, what is that? 39 movies to choose from. So let's get started. Well, we start with a very divisive
[0:04:07] Andrew: film on the list of how we want to approach it. Uh, horizon and American saga chapter two, uh, not scheduled. No, did have a fight on the podcast, a fight, maybe strong word. Uh, Gavin had it last year, last battle didn't come out. It got pushed out of the schedule and he wanted to back in. We made a compromise at the time that he could bid on it. And then it goes into the pool. How are you feeling today about this? Gavin feel great. I get first refusal, right? You do. I don't think any of us want it though. Yeah. Yeah. So, but for a price,
[0:04:42] Gavin: it's not scheduled to come out. Yeah. But if I put one on it, you say no one else will bid to put
[0:04:48] Eric: six one way to find out it's up to you. But I also like that it's copied and pasted from the last thing. Horizon and American saga chapter two box office mojo. Yep. That's, that's the tender loving care that we put into the, uh, movie auction. Uh, so right of first refusal, Gavin, are you going to put any points on this? Don't want it. Couldn't care less. Yay. Okay.
[0:05:13] Andrew: So now do we drop it or does it run up for bid for everybody? I think it's open to anyone.
[0:05:19] Eric: One. Eric has one. Going once. Going twice. Sold to Eric for one. I'll take it for one. Nobody, nobody wants it. I'll take it. That's fine. Who's going to buy it next year? I like that. We had
[0:05:37] Gavin: that huge, huge hockey on the podcast. Couldn't give a shit about that movie. Of course not.
[0:05:44] Andrew: Andrew, are you adjusting the owner? I'm trying. It's not, uh, letting me hear one second. Let
[0:05:48] Geoff: me refresh it. Congratulations, Eric, being the first person on the board. Thank you. Thank you.
[0:05:52] Eric: I w you know, it's important to me to, uh, get on the board early, get on the board often. I just
[0:05:58] Gavin: don't know how you're going to win Jurassic world rebirth with 97 points. I, I, I don't know, but
[0:06:04] Eric: also it's not, it's not even ticking me down here anyway. So maybe I'm just okay. There's so many
[0:06:10] Andrew: movies I want to target one. Nope. Andrew thoughts. I, why is nothing working? Why is nothing working for me? Everything breaks? Everything's always breaking. It's my fault. Throw up the
[0:06:23] Eric: technical difficulty screen, Nick. Hang on. Different account. That's fine. Got it. Cool. All right. Cut that. Yeah. Yeah. That's what I just said. I said, throw up the technical difficulty screen.
[0:06:33] Andrew: He did say that. I don't have that. Why is nothing working to that? I have a difficulty.
[0:06:40] Gavin: I don't know what any of these cells are supposed to do. None of them, none of them have any equations, logic to them. Nope. Yeah. It's just a flat file. Yeah. Grid. It's just a grid. How did, one second. I'm looking at the last one. They just have raw numbers in them. Yeah, it's just some numbers. One. That worked. Okay. So that works. Right. But it's not associated to anything.
[0:07:10] Andrew: Okay. Okay. What? I have a second, one second. I have a second, one second. You have a backup
[0:07:17] Gavin: sheet? I have a backup sheet and it works. Link it. It's a good opportunity to look at some of these
[0:07:23] Eric: movies. I hit that copy button. There you go. And then come right over to discord. Drop it in and paste it. I'm aware. And then you hit that, slam that enter button one time. Yep. There you go.
[0:07:37] Gavin: You need access. One sec. One sec. Yeah. Oh man. Don't give access though. Just make
[0:07:49] Eric: it public. There you go. He made it public. Uh, okay. So if we say, let me get this. This is view only. So go ahead and change that access there. It's view only. You want to change that from view only to edit. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep.
[0:08:15] Andrew: Yep. Yep. Yep. I'm doing multiple things here. It should just be one. Uh, Nope. Yep. Yep. Yep. Jumping up. withdraw them. six minutes. I'm modifying the list. fours You're just checking it twice. This got broken last night cause there was some movies that have been canceled and or moved that got edited out. And I wanna go ahead and Okay, so, Eric, there we go. Now we're all good. We're back.
[0:08:48] Eric: It didn't do anything. It didn't deduct anything. Are we ready for the next film? It didn't deduct. I'm not sure what we are saying that he's not hearing. Oh, it's not? It didn't remove anything?
[0:08:59] Andrew: That's unfortunate.
[0:08:59] Gavin: What were you basically, it's working on?
[0:09:02] Andrew: I was just really excited that the owner box now works.
[0:09:07] Eric: The owner box worked fine. I was doing it. Well, that deducted, when you put it in there, it deducted it. Yes, absolutely, and so I'll just have to do that, I guess.
[0:09:18] Gavin: I don't know if we can trust you to do that every time.
[0:09:20] Eric: You can keep an eye on it, and you can let me know. Gavin, also, check it out. You can click on that link, and Gavin can do it. That's a good point. Any thoughts?
[0:09:28] Gavin: I'm not really an Excel guy.
[0:09:29] Eric: Yeah, yeah, so just keep a fucking eye on it, I guess. Are we ready for the next film? That's the most Gavin thing. Hey, this video's out. I have some ideas for some changes. What? Is this video out already? Oh, my God. We'll be when they hear it. Doing it live. Hey, we're back. The sheet is fixed. Not really, but guys, we're moving on to the next movie. I now own one, but next movie, Shadow Force.
[0:09:58] Andrew: Shadow Force. It's an action movie. Shadow Force going one. It has Method Man in it. Oh, Method Man? Method Man's in it. Joe Carnahan film. One. Why not? Nick has one. There you go. It's an early May release. Anybody want to go more than one?
[0:10:17] Geoff: Absolutely not.
[0:10:17] Andrew: One going once. One going twice. Honestly, one is a great deal. Sold to Nick for one. Oh, there you go. If you want, I can handle the left. Sure. Works for me. If it was a great deal, why didn't you bid? Because I just, I didn't. I felt like I shouldn't. As I said it, I felt like, you know, I don't know. I'm counting down. I felt like that would be a jerk move at that moment. I didn't want it that much, but if you can get a movie for one, that'll probably make like 30, 40 million at least. Yeah. That's a little something. That's solid.
[0:10:47] Geoff: You need those. A little walking around money. Moving on. The first big film. What's Thunderbolts?
[0:10:55] Andrew: Do you honestly, do you think so? Marvel thinks so. Marvel certainly hopes so. They need it to be big.
[0:11:01] Nick: Other recent movies, I feel like this one actually has, aside from Deadpool, Wolverine has the potential to be decent.
[0:11:10] Andrew: Decent is sort of where we're at. One. I'll go two. Three. Four. I'll go six.
[0:11:19] Unidentified: Wow. Seven.
[0:11:19] Andrew: Oh, wow. Eight. Andrew going eight with Thunderbolts. All right. Nine. Wow. Nine.
[0:11:27] Gavin: What don't I know about this? Florence Pugh. Everything, apparently.
[0:11:31] Eric: I'll go ten. We said, here's Thunderbolts, and you said, what's Thunderbolts? Eleven.
[0:11:39] Gavin: I mean, Florence Pugh's a big name. Yeah. David Harbour is in it as well.
[0:11:43] Nick: Bucky's in it. I'll go twelve. Wow.
[0:11:47] Gavin: Man, do I need to get in on this?
[0:11:48] Eric: Thirteen. Yeah.
[0:11:49] Geoff: Jump on.
[0:11:50] Eric: Go, Gavin.
[0:11:51] Geoff: Do it. Fourteen. You can have my spot. I'm stepping out.
[0:11:55] Eric: Wow. Fourteen to Andrew.
[0:12:00] Andrew: Fifteen. Wow. Wow. I'm out. I'm out on fifteen. Fifteen going one. Okay. Fifteen going twice. Congratulations, Nick. You have Thunderbolts. There it is.
[0:12:15] Eric: I'm having flashbacks to last year.
[0:12:16] Gavin: That might be a bargain.
[0:12:18] Eric: It could be. I don't think it's a bad. I don't think it's a bad move. No, but this hurt me last year, too. You know, it's such a question mark.
[0:12:28] Geoff: It's going to be. It's going to be interesting this season because there's so many different movies that are worth spending money on. They really. I think a lot of really good stuff is going to go for a lot less because we're just going to have to be more just as judicious with our points.
[0:12:41] Andrew: Yes. Next film on the list is Magic Farm. All right, Gavin, would you want to throw fifteen on this one or what? Magic Farm. A media crew mistakenly ends up in the wrong country while trying to profile a musician as they collaborate with locals to create a viral trend relationships form amid an unfolding health crisis. What the fuck? There's so many things happening in that movie. It's a magic farm, Nick.
[0:13:03] Eric: It's also ninety three minutes, though. Yeah. Good run time. You know what? I'm going to say one because I think it has Chloe Sevigny in it. She does. Is that how you say her name? She does. She does.
[0:13:14] Andrew: I think Chloe Sevigny's in it. She does. She does. Is that how you say her last name? Yeah. Sevigny? Yeah. Holy shit.
[0:13:24] Eric: Andrew, if you look at it, it is pronounced the way it's spelled. How have you even said it? I always thought it was Sevigny.
[0:13:32] Gavin: Oh, that sounds cooler. That does sound cool.
[0:13:34] Geoff: I'm sure she appreciates the upgrade.
[0:13:38] Gavin: Chloe Sevigny.
[0:13:39] Andrew: Eric with one point on Chloe Sevigny. Two. Nick just said two? Nick with two points on Magic Farm. You big Sevigny head or what? Nick wants to own the entire weekend of May 1st or whatever. The first weekend is all Nick against him. I'm going for time here. Nick with two going once. Did that happen last year?
[0:14:02] Eric: Nick loves brown bunny and kids. So he's going twice. Magic Farm. What?
[0:14:07] Unidentified: Magic Farm.
[0:14:08] Andrew: What?
[0:14:09] Eric: Nick's really into early Harmony Corrine.
[0:14:12] Andrew: Magic Farm sold to Nick with two. Nick, you got it too.
[0:14:17] Eric: Oh, yeah, yeah. Are you concerned that your movies are coming out against each other or there's no concern there for you? I am now. Oh, okay.
[0:14:24] Unidentified: Cool.
[0:14:25] Eric: Cool.
[0:14:26] Nick: Oh, yeah.
[0:14:27] Andrew: Next film is Friendship. A suburban dad falls hard for his charismatic new neighbor. It's a Paul Rudd movie.
[0:14:34] Geoff: Oh, we like Rudd. I'll say two. I'll go six on that one. Wow.
[0:14:40] Andrew: Six. Okay, well, six is going one here. I think it's just going to be Jeff. Going twice.
[0:14:51] Geoff: Sold to Jeff for six. Thank you. The early buzz on that movie is it is one of the funniest movies made in the last decade. It stars Tim Robinson, who's on top of the world right now. I have a pretty good feeling it's going to be like a $100 million comedy.
[0:15:02] Gavin: Premiered in 2024.
[0:15:04] Eric: I don't think it's going to make that much.
[0:15:07] Andrew: I think it'll make $20 million and people will really like it, but it's odd.
[0:15:11] Eric: I agree with that. I don't think people see comedies in the theater anymore.
[0:15:14] Geoff: It seems like such a film festival movie. I know what you're saying, but I think it's coming out with not a lot around it except for Thunderbolts. I don't know. Tim Robinson. Except for Thunderbolts. Except for the, except when was the last Marvel movie outside of Daredevil that are not Daredevil. The other one, the other red guy. Here's the thing.
[0:15:31] Eric: The, the way to, to me, to the way to judge a lot of these is what theaters are showing it. And the only Alamo theater showing it is South Lamar. There are no other Alamo theater showing it in Austin. That's a good point. That's, that's like when a movie comes out and they show it down on Slaughter and all
[0:15:46] Geoff: the way up at like Lakeline and you go, Ooh, that seems like approaching research for a guy who said he didn't do any research.
[0:15:52] Eric: Uh, yeah, that's, you have, you have, dude, I'm looking at what movies I want to see. I'm not looking at what movies are on this list. I'm just, I'm looking at the Alamo, dude. I got the, I got the season pass, baby.
[0:16:02] Geoff: So what I'm hearing is that you're going to go to this movie and give me some money. I appreciate that.
[0:16:07] Andrew: I'll wait till it's, I'll wait till it's on streaming. That's it. Until they streamed despite interest, we'll probably hold that into this year. Next film, fight or flight starring Josh Hartnett. Mercenary takes on the job of tracking down a target on a plane, but must protect her when they're surrounded by people trying to kill both of them.
[0:16:26] Geoff: How many times is this movie going to come out?
[0:16:28] Andrew: One point. Okay. Two points. It's already been released internationally. You can have it for two. Going once with two. Going twice with two. I get fight or flight for two points. You get it. I'm so excited. That movie looks so much fun. It's such a dumb movie. But moving on to not golden, which was canceled, which is a wild thing. The film of the summer, clown in a cornfield. Up for bid. A fading Midwestern town in which friend of the clown, a symbol of bygone success, reemerges as a terrifying scourge. I'll put one point on clown in a cornfield. Pennywise is going to be pissed.
[0:17:10] Eric: Why is the horror movie coming out in like May or June?
[0:17:16] Nick: They want to get in on the Oscar buzz.
[0:17:18] Geoff: Hey, by the way, just real fast. I should have 92 points. I have 98. Just so we're not cheating there.
[0:17:26] Eric: Thanks, Gavin. Where were you? Hey, what's up?
[0:17:30] Andrew: Yeah, there you go. Clown in a cornfield for one. Going once. I'll put two for it. Go for the kill. Two going one. Going once.
[0:17:40] Unidentified: Two going two.
[0:17:42] Andrew: She does. She does. What if? Sold to Jeff.
[0:17:48] Eric: Bargain. She does. Once.
[0:17:53] Geoff: Hey, guys. No worries. My measles vaccination is still active. I just found out.
[0:17:58] Nick: All right.
[0:18:00] Geoff: Nice. Yeah.
[0:18:01] Nick: You might need it.
[0:18:02] Geoff: Yeah. How old is it? I was born in 1975.

[0:18:58] Andrew: Juliet and Romeo, based on the real story that inspired Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, follows the greatest love story of all time, set as an original pop musical. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. I'll get one point.
[0:19:13] Eric: I'll say one. I already said one. I'll say two. Don't think it's going to do very well. Nothing about that Screams movie you should see, but I'll give it a shot. That was a true story, but Romeo and Juliet isn't the true story? Yeah. I mean, according to this lie that they're telling people, absolutely, dude.
[0:19:36] Andrew: Juliet and Romeo going two for Eric.
[0:19:40] Gavin: Twice.
[0:19:42] Andrew: Going three for Eric.
[0:19:45] Eric: There it is. All right. Sold. Sold to Eric. Going three. Going three. It went all the way to three. It went all the way to three.
[0:19:54] Geoff: You never know, Eric. That could be that could be like that could be something.
[0:19:59] Andrew: It could. It could. It could be like a rock of ages type thing. Like, I don't know.
[0:20:03] Geoff: Or like the one about the with Adam Devine, where all the ladies sing with Anna Kendrick.
[0:20:09] Eric: Oh, yeah. Pitch perfect. Yes. Oh, it could be like Romeo and Juliet from the 90s. Oh, it could be. I don't think it's going to be, but it could be. No.
[0:20:18] Andrew: Well, let's hurry up tomorrow for hurry up tomorrow. An insomniac musician encounters a mysterious stranger leading to a journey that challenges everything he knows about himself. What? It's a movie with The Weeknd in it.
[0:20:30] Geoff: I'll put two in it.
[0:20:30] Andrew: Two down. Jeff with two. Jeff with two going once. Three. Eric with three. Eric with three going once. Going twice.
[0:20:43] Eric: Sold to Eric for three. Look at that. Gavin, does that look cool? One, two, three. Does that look cool? Looks great. I did that for you, Eric. Or, Gavin.
[0:20:51] Andrew: You're doing a bit. Next up, Final Destinations.
[0:20:56] Eric: This is wrong, right? I got this for two, right? That's because you said going three and you fucked yourself.
[0:21:00] Andrew: Sure did. Final Destination Bloodlines. Next up on the list. I'll do one. Two. Let me read the plague by a recurring violent nightmare. Violent nightmare. A college student returns home to find the one person who can break the cycle and save her family from the horrific fate that inevitably awaits them. I'll go four. Five. Six. Six. Seven. Eight. Nine.
[0:21:29] Eric: I'll go ten. Oh, Nick went ten. I'll go eleven.
[0:21:35] Andrew: I'll go fourteen. Whoa! Spice it up a little bit.
[0:21:39] Unidentified: Oh!
[0:21:39] Andrew: Wow! Wow!
[0:21:41] Unidentified: Oh!
[0:21:44] Andrew: Going once. Going twice.
[0:21:48] Nick: I'm out.
[0:21:49] Andrew: Sold to me for fourteen. Fourteen. Well done. Fourteen. Got him, Jeff. We got him. Jeff, Jeff, our plan's working. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. They met beforehand and they're like, we are going to get Andrew above thirteen on Final Destination. Yep. Fuck him up. Next film is The Ruse. An in-home caregiver fears for her life after being assigned to a mysterious elderly patient in a remote seaside home. One! Nick with one. Nick with one going once. Go ahead and just lock that one in. Going twice.
[0:22:25] Gavin: Nick's going to dregs it all the way to the finish line.
[0:22:29] Andrew: Sold to Nick for one point. Going to dregs it.
[0:22:33] Gavin: I think you're going to end up with quite a total here.
[0:22:36] Andrew: The first. Yeah. Well, I mean, there could be some big hits. We don't know about Thunderbolts. We don't know about Julian and Romeo. But the first established. We don't know about Clown in a Cornfield. We don't. Massive hit. Jeff does. Mission Impossible, The Final Reckoning. One. I had a feeling. Thirteen. Eric with thirteen. Nick, fourteen.
[0:22:59] Geoff: Sixteen.
[0:23:00] Andrew: Eighteen.
[0:23:02] Unidentified: Nineteen. Oh. I'll say twenty. I'll go with twenty. Eric with twenty. Going once.
[0:23:11] Andrew: Eric with twenty. Going twice. Twenty-one. Twenty-one.
[0:23:15] Unidentified: Oh, yeah.
[0:23:16] Eric: Nope. Gavin got it in there before you did, Andrew. You sure did. Oh, that was you bidding? I thought you were just repeating what I was saying. Nope. Nope.
[0:23:25] Unidentified: We both did it. It was instant. I'll go twenty-two. Twenty-three. You're in again? I was never out, baby. I was buying book time.
[0:23:36] Gavin: Yeah, he was sat in the shadows.
[0:23:39] Unidentified: Yeah. I'll go twenty-four.
[0:23:41] Gavin: Twenty-five.
[0:23:43] Unidentified: Twenty-six.
[0:23:46] Andrew: Twenty-seven. Nick being back in is hilarious. Twenty-seven going once.
[0:23:57] Unidentified: That's a bargain.
[0:23:58] Andrew: Seven going twice.
[0:24:00] Unidentified: I'll go twenty-eight. Twenty-nine.
[0:24:04] Andrew: Wow. Where did you come from again? That's what you were saying. He keeps doing it. Nick is pure chaos. Twenty-nine. Going once. Twenty-nine going twice. Sold to Nick for twenty-nine points. Congratulations, Nick. I think it's a really good pickup.
[0:24:23] Geoff: That's an easy Hoff bill, I reckon.
[0:24:26] Nick: That's a deal.
[0:24:27] Geoff: He's got the double whammy of Thunderbolts and Mission Impossible.
[0:24:30] Nick: Yeah.
[0:24:31] Geoff: If that Marvel movie's a hit, it might already be over.
[0:24:34] Andrew: Next up is Lilo and Stitch, the live-action remake. What? Fifteen.
[0:24:41] Eric: Fifteen.
[0:24:42] Nick: Sixteen.
[0:24:43] Eric: Yeah, seventeen. Twenty. Twenty-one. Twenty-five.
[0:24:48] Andrew: Twenty-nine.
[0:24:50] Unidentified: What?
[0:24:53] Andrew: Hmm. Twenty-nine going once. I'll go thirty. Wow. Thirty-one. Twenty-one.
[0:25:05] Gavin: Who had it at twenty-nine? I did. Andrew? Thirty-two.
[0:25:10] Unidentified: What?
[0:25:11] Eric: What the fuck does that have? This is the craziest. What is up with everyone? What do you mean?
[0:25:19] Gavin: Wasn't it at thirty-one before I said thirty-two? It was. Yeah, you just came out of nowhere. What's wrong with you?
[0:25:23] Unidentified: Thirty-three. I'm wondering where you came from.
[0:25:26] Nick: He was biding his time.
[0:25:28] Gavin: No, I was wondering where Andrew came from, and then I found out.
[0:25:31] Unidentified: What? What? He's been here the whole time, man.
[0:25:36] Gavin: The one with thirty-three. Wait, who has thirty-three? Oh, maybe it's Andrew.
[0:25:42] Unidentified: Open.
[0:25:43] Gavin: Kick the cats out and open a window, dude.
[0:25:45] Andrew: Yeah, but everyone was yelling, so. Thirty-four. Thirty-five. Thirty-five going once.
[0:25:53] Unidentified: Six.
[0:25:55] Andrew: Is that thirty-six? Yeah. Thirty-seven. Thirty-seven going once. Thirty-seven going twice. Thirty-eight. Bid before I say twice. Thirty-nine. Bid. You're going to bid. Thirty-nine. Thirty-nine.
[0:26:19] Gavin: Thirty-nine. Bid before you bid.
[0:26:20] Eric: Thirty-nine going once. Who's it? Hang on. Wait. Before you keep counting it down. Wait, what's going on? Who's at thirty-nine? I'm at thirty-nine. I just want to be clear. You're at thirty-nine?
[0:26:31] Geoff: Gavin, you're at thirty-eight. This is why I brought it up. No, no. Gavin said thirty-eight, and then Andrew started chastising him for waiting, and while he was saying that, Gavin said thirty-nine before Andrew got a chance. So early, he hadn't bid yet. Okay, he just bid again? Yeah, and he said, I said it before he said once. Yeah. You outbid yourself? Yeah, I bid myself. Oh, shit.
[0:26:50] Gavin: It's irrelevant now. This is insane. Forty going once. Forty-one, forty-two.
[0:26:59] Unidentified: Why?
[0:27:03] Andrew: Gavin with forty-two going once. Forty-two. Oh. Twice. Sold to Gavin for forty-two points. Yeah!
[0:27:13] Gavin: There it is. Wow. That may have been a mistake.
[0:27:16] Eric: It looks like dog shit. Gavin is on the board. But it's Disney. There's no way it does not make money. Yeah, it's kids in that.
[0:27:23] Geoff: Kids love the movies. I don't know. The new Snow White didn't do super well, did it? No, and it was terrible. It still made like three hundred million or something, didn't it?
[0:27:31] Eric: Yeah, I don't know. Like, you guys are like, yeah, that movie sucked. I don't think that matters. That is totally irrelevant to what we're doing here. Eventually, they might get wise. I don't.
[0:27:40] Andrew: Dude, I don't think so, man. Next film is Bring Her Back. A brother and sister recover terrifying ritual at the secluded home of the their new foster mother. Two. With one.
[0:27:51] Geoff: Two. For Eric. By the way, just so we're clear, it only made eighty four million dollars. Snow White. Domestic? Yeah. Wow.
[0:28:00] Andrew: Leland Stitch looks good, though. Bad. No, I disagree. Going once for two with Eric. Bring her back. Twice. Sold to Eric. Cool. Two points.
[0:28:14] Eric: I don't think it's going to do super, super well, but I think it's going to do pretty good. I think it's the things that guys who made was it talk to me or what it is.
[0:28:22] Andrew: Yeah. Yeah. I could definitely see it being like one of those hereditary type successes where where it's like a really popular.
[0:28:29] Eric: Yes, exactly. Yeah. We're like it's it's like the the art house or thing that like fits. You got that a bargain. Yeah, definitely.
[0:28:38] Andrew: Speaking of art house classics, karate kid legends. One. What is this? After Kung Fu prodigy, Lee Fong relocates to New York City, he attracts unwanted attention from a local karate champion and embarks on a journey to enter the ultimate karate competition with the help of Mr. Han and Daniel LaRusso. It is the Avengers Karate Kid styles. It's Jackie Chan and the original guy. They're bringing both versions together. Ralph Macchio is in a movie. He's back.
[0:29:08] Geoff: Well, he's also been on the karate kid TV show on Netflix. So what?
[0:29:12] Andrew: Right.
[0:29:13] Geoff: Five seasons or whatever.
[0:29:14] Andrew: You said five seasons. I'll say five. I'll put five on karate kids legends.
[0:29:19] Geoff: I'll bid eight on the karate kid.
[0:29:21] Andrew: I'll bid nine. On the karate kid. Oh, too rich for my blood.
[0:29:26] Geoff: Ten.
[0:29:28] Andrew: I'll bid 13.
[0:29:29] Unidentified: The karate. Ooh, 15, uh, 15 going once, 15 going twice. Sold to Jeff.
[0:29:43] Andrew: Okay. 15 points. Dang. That could be a really good buy. Jeff.
[0:29:47] Geoff: I like Jackie Chan.
[0:29:48] Nick: I really don't know how to judge that movie yet. Me neither. I have no idea. I can't believe that's crazy. Yeah. I saw the trailer for it this weekend and I was blown away that it existed.
[0:29:57] Andrew: Next film up is the Phoenician scheme. Story of the family and a family business. Five. Six. Ten.
[0:30:07] Gavin: Well, what do people know about this movie? It's Wes Anderson.
[0:30:09] Andrew: It's a Wes Anderson film.
[0:30:10] Geoff: Oh. Oh. Which means everybody's going to love it and nobody's going to see it in the theater.
[0:30:17] Unidentified: Yep.
[0:30:18] Andrew: Who has ten? Sorry.
[0:30:19] Geoff: Me.
[0:30:20] Andrew: Eric with ten going once.
[0:30:22] Geoff: You're rich for my voice. It's going to be an awesome movie though.
[0:30:25] Andrew: Sold to Eric for ten points.
[0:30:27] Nick: Once it's on streaming.
[0:30:29] Eric: Yeah. Yeah. It's not going to do. I don't think it's going to do huge, huge, but I think it'll be. That'll be a nice little bump for me. I have like a lot of small stuff. I got like a lot of small stuff. So.
[0:30:38] Geoff: Who's the main character in that one?
[0:30:39] Eric: Benicio del Toro, I think. Okay, cool.
[0:30:42] Andrew: Awesome. Next film up is Ballerina. An assassin train in the traditions of the Ruska Roma organization sets out to seek revenge after her father's death. I'll do five. I'll put eight.
[0:30:59] Eric: Fifteen.
[0:31:01] Geoff: Sixteen. Ooh.
[0:31:03] Unidentified: Ooh.
[0:31:05] Geoff: Gavin, you don't know what this is probably, but this is a John Wick spinoff. Going once. What? Dangerous Animals?
[0:31:12] Gavin: No. No. Ballerina.
[0:31:14] Andrew: Doesn't even know what movies I've forbidden. Open. Open. Open. Open. Open. Open. Open. Open. Open. Open. Open. Open. Open. Open. Open.
[0:31:18] Unidentified: Open. Open. Open. Open. Open. Open.
[0:31:19] Andrew: Open. Open. Open. Open. Going twice. Seventeen. Eric was seventeen going once. Going twice. Sold to Eric for seventeen points.
[0:31:28] Eric: Yeah. Good job. I don't love where I'm at numbers wise right now. I'm liking it. That's pretty. Thanks, man. But I feel like that one's probably going to do pretty good.
[0:31:40] Andrew: Yeah.
[0:31:40] Nick: For sure. I think so. It was a good pickup.
[0:31:42] Andrew: Next film is Dangerous Animals, when a Zephyr, a savvy and free-spirited surfer is abducted by a shark-obsessed serial killer and held captive on his boat. What the fuck? What? She must figure out how to escape before he carries out a ritualistic feeding to the sharks below. One.
[0:31:58] Gavin: What? I was hoping this would be a sequel to Fierce Creatures, but it's not going to sound
[0:32:02] Andrew: like it is. What the fuck? Nick with one on Dangerous Animals. Going once. I'll go two. Jeff with two.
[0:32:13] Unidentified: Oh, never mind. I'm out.
[0:32:15] Andrew: Nick is out. I'm out. The Jai Courtney vehicle going with two points for Jeff. Oh, my God. Go once. Twice. Sold to Jeff for two points. Are we still doing Jai Courtney vehicles? Apparently.
[0:32:33] Eric: This is going to be his big comeback. That's crazy. That wasn't a John Wick movie, right?
[0:32:38] Andrew: No, that one's not. That was a shark movie. Yep. Yep. The ritual. Two priests, one in crisis with his faith and the other confronting a turbulent past must overcome their differences to perform a risky exorcism. Two. Five. Jeff with five. Jeff with five going once. Jeff with five going twice. Sold to Jeff. Wow. That's Robert De Niro. Yeah. Yeah. A lot of horror this summer. Yep. Next film is I Don't Understand You. Why? Stranded in rural Italy without transportation or language skills, an American couple on the verge of adopting tries to reconnect during a disastrous vacation as their fears and relationship problems threaten to boil over. Gavin with one. Gavin with one going once. I have not heard of this.
[0:33:33] Nick: I don't know anything about this. Twice. Nick Kroll's in it. Yeah.
[0:33:37] Gavin: Sold to Gavin. Okay. I wonder if that's going to be a better bang for my buck than Lilo and Stitch.
[0:33:43] Eric: But, you know, we're going to see. We're going to win. I don't know.
[0:33:45] Geoff: It's got Nick Kroll in it. So at one, you might have overpaid. Slam.
[0:33:52] Unidentified: Slam. Slam. Slam. Slam. Slam. Slam. Slam.
[0:33:54] Geoff: What's wrong with the Kroll Meister? No, he's fine. I'm kidding. I'm kidding. That's comedy. I like Kroll's show. Great show.
[0:34:01] Andrew: Next film, live action, how to train your dragon as an ancient dragon dragon. 11. You can get it. It's fucking dragons and kids. 15. 16. 17. 18.
[0:34:17] Nick: 25. Wow. Oh, shit.
[0:34:21] Gavin: 26.
[0:34:22] Unidentified: Fuck you.
[0:34:24] Andrew: Wow. 26. Damn. Going once. 27. 30.
[0:34:33] Geoff: I bet that does better than the Disney one, honestly. It will.
[0:34:36] Andrew: 31. Nick with 31. 35. 36. Wow.
[0:34:43] Geoff: Epic universe about to launch with a whole how to train your dragon section in the park.
[0:34:48] Andrew: Nick with 36. Going once. I think so. Gavin. 38. Coming up. Nick countering immediately. 40. Erick with 40. Going once. Going twice.
[0:35:06] Unidentified: 41. Wow.
[0:35:08] Andrew: 41 to Nick. Going once.
[0:35:11] Unidentified: Oh, God. It's last year all over again.
[0:35:14] Andrew: Going twice. 42. Kevin. With 42. Going once. Going twice. 43. Jesus Christ. It is just rallying back and forth. Nick with 43. Going once. Going twice. 44. 44. 45.
[0:35:34] Unidentified: Ha ha ha.
[0:35:35] Andrew: You don't like it.
[0:35:36] Unidentified: Ha ha ha.
[0:35:38] Andrew: 45. 45. Wow. 45 to Nick. Wow. Nick with 45.
[0:35:44] Geoff: Going once. 46. 46. This one movie is going to wipe out someone's wealth.
[0:35:51] Eric: Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But, but it might really rocket them. Because this is going to, it's going to do so. Jeff, you're so fucking right. It's going to do so big. 47.
[0:35:59] Andrew: Wow. Nick with 47 going once.
[0:36:02] Gavin: Wait, was that Andrew bidding 46 or was someone else 46?
[0:36:05] Andrew: Nick.
[0:36:06] Gavin: You were.
[0:36:07] Andrew: Weren't you?
[0:36:07] Nick: What?
[0:36:09] Gavin: Who said what? Who's the line? I didn't bid. I just sometimes. Okay. Gavin. I can't tell if you're a Peter. 48.
[0:36:16] Andrew: All that for that. Gavin with 48. Going once. Whoa, he did it. Whoa. He did it. 50 going once.
[0:36:25] Nick: He just played me like a fiddle, didn't he?
[0:36:27] Andrew: Going twice.
[0:36:31] Eric: Sold to Nick. Nick for 50 points. Nick's out. That's the last of Nick. That's it. It's a good guy. Damn. It's a great get. I, I think. Man, is it going to be. You have Mission Impossible, Mission Impossible Final Reckoning. And you have How to Train Your Dragon. Those are huge. And Thunderbolts. If it's a huge hit.
[0:36:52] Geoff: If it's like a return to form for Marvel, you know. Yeah. It could be a definite threat. That's going to be a billion dollars right there. Yeah. It's a lot.
[0:37:00] Nick: Have you seen any dinosaurs? What kind of question is that? I think that our neighborhood.
[0:37:11] Unidentified: We're in the past. Summer adds. On Oak Street. Run! From producer J.J. Abrams. And Hathaway. Ewan McGregor. We're going to survive. The End of Oak Street. Directed by David Robert Mitchell. August 14.
[0:37:28] Andrew: Next film up is Materialists. A matchmaker's lucrative business is complicated when she falls into a toxic love triangle that threatens her clients. Ooh. I'll go two. I'll go three.
[0:37:43] Nick: Ooh, the cast is really good.
[0:37:45] Gavin: Four.
[0:37:46] Andrew: Five. Five going once.
[0:37:48] Gavin: Someone bit up Andrew's points away. I'm going six.
[0:37:52] Andrew: Jeff with six.
[0:37:53] Nick: Six going once. What does Andrew know that we don't? The rest of the list?
[0:38:00] Gavin: What are you talking about? He's looking at Superman. He's looking at Jurassic World. Like, you're looking at the whole fucking back half? Thank you.
[0:38:06] Nick: Like, what are you talking about? Superman. Who cares?
[0:38:09] Geoff: I think that's going to do what that fucking It Starts With Us movie did for me last time. Or It Ends With Us. Or We Are The Thing. It starts with us. Whatever the fuck it was.
[0:38:22] Andrew: Next up is Elio. A space fanatic with an active imagination. Finds himself on a cosmic misadventure where he must form new bombs with alien life forms. Navigate a crisis of intergalactic proportions. And somehow discover who he's truly meant to be. I'll go two. Three. Four.
[0:38:45] Eric: Four. Going once. I guess five. I'll do five. It's about where it stands, huh? Yeah. This just does not look like anything. Six. Okay. Six going once.
[0:39:01] Andrew: Oh, God.
[0:39:02] Eric: It's just right on the back of How to Train Your Dragon. Yeah. And there's just no way anyone's going to choose whatever the fuck Elio is over How to Train Your Dragon, right? Six going twice. Seven. Oh!
[0:39:18] Andrew: Whoa! Jeff from the shadows.
[0:39:21] Gavin: Out of nowhere.
[0:39:23] Andrew: I'll go eight. Eight going once. Going twice.
[0:39:31] Unidentified: Nine. Oh!
[0:39:33] Andrew: Ooh.
[0:39:35] Eric: Is it worth the double digits for you, Andrew?
[0:39:37] Andrew: Yeah. Nine going once. Uh, ten. Okay. Bucket.
[0:39:42] Unidentified: I'll go ten. I'm out. Going once. Going twice.
[0:39:49] Andrew: Sold to me for ten.
[0:39:51] Geoff: Pixar isn't the guarantee it used to be, but it's still a Pixar film. It's still a Pixar film.
[0:39:56] Nick: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, that could be a bargain in the end. Yeah. I'm so excited for this movie. Next film up. Yeah, dude.
[0:40:06] Andrew: 28 years later. One. I'll go two. Three. A group of survivors of the Rage Fires live on a small island when one of the group leaves the island on a mission. You get it. Zombies. Five. Six. Seven. Eight. Ten. Ten. Ten going once to Eric. Ten going twice.
[0:40:32] Unidentified: Twelve. Is Danny Boyle directing this? He is. Yeah. Yeah. Thirteen. Gavin with thirteen. Going once. Going twice.
[0:40:46] Andrew: Sold to Gavin for thirteen points. Shouldn't have outbid myself there.
[0:40:51] Eric: Yeah. Very interesting, but good plan. I like it.
[0:40:56] Nick: Keep them guessing, Gavin. Keep them guessing.
[0:40:58] Andrew: Yep. Next one on the list. F one. What? Starring Brad Pitt. I'll go two. Three. Four. Four going once. Six. Seven. God damn it. Whoa. Jeff out of nowhere. Seven. I'll go eight because Jeff likes it and he did research.
[0:41:22] Geoff: Nine.
[0:41:24] Andrew: Ten.
[0:41:26] Geoff: I love bits with question marks.
[0:41:27] Unidentified: Ten.
[0:41:29] Geoff: Ten to Andrew. I'll go eleven.
[0:41:32] Unidentified: Ooh. Twelve. Ooh, this is good. Interesting. Thirteen. Thirteen going once. Thirteen. Going twice.
[0:41:49] Andrew: Sold to Jeff. Yeah. For thirteen points. There it is.
[0:41:54] Geoff: Hell yeah, Jeff.
[0:41:56] Eric: I think that might be right about what it's worth. We'll see. Yeah. Yeah. I think you'll, you'll scrape some money for that. Domestic is going to be tough. Like international. I think it'll probably do great. Yeah.
[0:42:06] Geoff: But here, I don't know. Yeah. Brad Pitt's a bit of a damaged brand these days too.
[0:42:11] Andrew: He is. Megan 2.0 is the next film up. Mithrigan 2. Mithrigan 2.
[0:42:18] Eric: I'm going to bid three for Mithrigan 2. I'll bid five. For Mithrigan 2? Yeah. I'll bid seven. Seven for Mithrigan 2. Holy shit.
[0:42:31] Andrew: Hey. Now, do you want me to counterbid, Gavin? Or do you want me to wait for you to counterbid yourself? And then I can. That's up to you. Nine.
[0:42:40] Gavin: You guys have got a bid Andrew's points away.
[0:42:47] Andrew: Going once. Twice. Shit. Sold to me for nine points. I think that's a great get.
[0:42:55] Geoff: Yeah. I think that's a pretty good get. Mithrigan 1 was pretty good and pretty popular.
[0:43:00] Eric: Yeah. But are people clamoring for Mithrigan 2? I think the marketing was strong and people remember it fondly. Yeah. I'm excited about it. I think Mithrigan 3 is going to kill. We simply call that Mithrigan, but we'll have to wait until next year.
[0:43:16] Andrew: Next up is Jurassic World Rebirth. Oh, God. No need to go over that plot. We already did it. One. I'm going to set the binning hide with four. Five. Six. Seven. Ten.
[0:43:29] Nick: Carjo.
[0:43:30] Andrew: Whoa! What? What did you say, Gav? I said 42.
[0:43:34] Unidentified: Are you okay?
[0:43:37] Andrew: I'm with 42. Going once.
[0:43:41] Unidentified: Whoa!
[0:43:42] Andrew: Going twice. Wow! I don't have enough points to contend with the big hits. I hear you. Sold to Gavin. With 42 points.
[0:43:52] Geoff: Interesting that Gavin had two 42-point movies.
[0:43:56] Unidentified: Yeah!
[0:44:00] Geoff: Wow! Good get there, Gav. Yep. Maybe a little high, but maybe a little bit high.
[0:44:04] Andrew: Next up on the list is Superman. James Gunn's Superman.
[0:44:09] Gavin: Wow! I love someone just all in.
[0:44:13] Geoff: All right, there you go. That's it. That's it for Eric. 63.
[0:44:17] Nick: Got the movie he wanted. Thank you for working Andrew down just enough. Are you confident because it's James Gunn at the helm?
[0:44:24] Eric: I think that this is the turnaround DC thing that people go. I think it's going to have a big opening weekend, and then people are going to go, hey, that Superman movie was actually pretty good. You should go see it. And then it's going to do better, like, for a few weeks. I just think it's going to be really strong.
[0:44:41] Gavin: I think you could be right.
[0:44:42] Eric: Yeah. Yeah, you could be. Next up on the list, Smurfs. I also have shit for the rest of my stuff, so I kind of have to get one heavy hitter late to see what happens.
[0:44:52] Geoff: So it's just between you and I now, Andrew.
[0:44:55] Eric: Right here, this is the boys. The rest of these movies, this is for the boys. I'll do one on Smurfs with Rihanna.
[0:45:04] Gavin: I'll do two. I'll do three. It's weird to look back at the board and just see my load all over it.
[0:45:11] Andrew: Where are you at, Andrew? I'm at three, Jeff. Four. Four?
[0:45:16] Gavin: Yeah. Man, I blew this so hard.
[0:45:17] Andrew: I'll give you Smurfs for four.
[0:45:19] Gavin: Oh, Jeff with the four Smurfs.
[0:45:22] Geoff: Jeff, name four Smurfs. Papa Smurf, Smurfette, Lazy Smurf, and Sleepy Smurf.
[0:45:31] Eric: I think those last two might be the same Smurf, buddy. Oh, I don't think so. It looks fucking awful.
[0:45:40] Andrew: Next one up. I know what you did last summer. Brainy Smurf. There you go. Yeah. I'll put one point on I know what you did last summer. I'll go two. Oh. I'll go three.
[0:45:54] Unidentified: I'll go four.
[0:45:58] Eric: I'll give it to you for four. Thank you. Wow. Jeff, I think that's going to do pretty good.
[0:46:03] Geoff: I hope so. I think Andrew's saving up for a specific one, maybe. Oh, yeah. The next one? Yeah. Next up is the Fantastic Four. I'll go ten. How many points do I have? I can't tell. You have forty-one. Okay. Uh... What are you going? Ten? I'm going ten. I'll go... Fourteen.
[0:46:26] Unidentified: Fifteen. Sixteen. Seventeen. Eighteen. Nineteen. All right. I'll go twenty. Twenty-one. You can have it. Wow. Okay. Wow.
[0:46:41] Gavin: That's nuts.
[0:46:42] Nick: I would have bid him up.
[0:46:44] Andrew: Great get. Forty-two, forty-one. Wow. You and I have essentially the same points. Yep. The next one is the Bad Guys 2.
[0:46:51] Unidentified: Ooh, kids movie. I'll go five points. There you go. Jeff? Six. Seven. You can have it. Yeah. Wow. I don't think the first one did very well.
[0:47:14] Eric: Seven points. Enough for a sequel, I guess. Jeff, you have forty-one. Andrew has thirty-five. Okay. Forty-one, thirty-five. Beneath the Storm has been canceled, boys. But... It sure has. The Naked Gun is next.
[0:47:26] Andrew: The Naked Gun. The reboot with Liam Neeson. I'll go three points.
[0:47:31] Gavin: I'll go four points.
[0:47:33] Andrew: Five points.
[0:47:34] Gavin: This is probably the movie I'm most excited about on this whole list. Six points.
[0:47:38] Eric: Really? Seven points. I really was.
[0:47:40] Gavin: Yeah, same.
[0:47:41] Eric: Me too. I thought the trailer looked fun. I'm excited. You're going seven points?
[0:47:46] Unidentified: Seven points. I'll go eight. Nine. All right. I'll go ten. Fuck it. Eleven.
[0:47:54] Geoff: Then you're going to see me say twelve. Thirteen. Then you'll see me say fourteen.
[0:48:00] Unidentified: Fifteen. Sixteen. Ooh. Seventeen. So this is the last big thing? Easy. Easy. Yeah. Eighteen.
[0:48:10] Andrew: Nineteen.
[0:48:10] Nick: What about Freakier Friday?
[0:48:12] Geoff: I thought they already made that. Nineteen. Yeah, I could do twenty for Naked Gun. Why not? Twenty-one.
[0:48:19] Unidentified: You can have it.
[0:48:20] Andrew: I'll take it for twenty-one points. I don't think it's worth twenty-one points. I don't either.
[0:48:26] Geoff: I just, I just want to bid you up for a little bit. Can we see the totals again?
[0:48:32] Eric: Yep. Fourteen to forty-one. Oh. Jeff has forty-one. You got room to play, Jeff. Freakier Friday. Uh, one. Two.
[0:48:42] Geoff: My wife's gonna be stoked.
[0:48:43] Unidentified: I'll do three. Five. Uh, six. Nine. I'll do ten. Eleven. Uh, yeah, I can do twelve. Why not? Thirteen. Uh. It's up to you if you want it now. You know what? You can have it.
[0:49:10] Eric: I get Freakier Friday with thirteen points. Thirteen points. That leaves Andrew with one and Jeff with forty-one. All right, let's see how this, how this plays out. You can just do everything and it's all yours, baby.
[0:49:24] Andrew: Next film is one battle after another. One point. Two. Putting one up there. Oh, shit. It goes to Jeff. Jeff. Jeff got it. Two points.
[0:49:33] Nick: Jeff with two. All right. I think Jeff's just gonna win on sheer numbers.
[0:49:36] Andrew: Click, uh, I'm gonna go one, Jeff. Two. Fuck. Jeff with two. Jeff with two. He wins it. Jeff, uh, we got nobody two on the list. I'm gonna put one on that. Five. God damn it.
[0:49:52] Eric: Him with five. Brings you down to thirty-two there, Jeff, so be wise. Jeff's got so many movies.
[0:49:57] Gavin: We can see them coming down the list different from all the way down here.
[0:50:01] Unidentified: Yeah.
[0:50:02] Andrew: Yeah. Americana. I'm going one.
[0:50:05] Geoff: Uh, I'm gonna go two.
[0:50:06] Andrew: No. Jeff wins it with two. Uh-huh. In the last film. Cut stealing. I'm going one. Two.
[0:50:17] Geoff: Ah! Isn't that one battle after another, that new, uh, that movie with, uh, uh, Leonardo DiCaprio that everybody's talking about?
[0:50:25] Andrew: Yeah, okay, cool. It's a Paul Thomas Anderson movie.
[0:50:27] Geoff: Holy shit.
[0:50:28] Eric: That was some good stuff at the end. And Jeff, you've got twenty-eight bucks left. Yeah, you do. And Andrew has one, so we'll run it down. Andrew has one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight movies here. One, two, three, four, five, six for Nick. Seven for myself. Four for Gavin. And Jeff has one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, twelve, thirteen, fourteen movies for Jeff. Oh, boy.
[0:51:00] Gavin: Holy cow. I came in with a plan and I got, I got real caught up in the bidding and my plan went out the window.
[0:51:06] Eric: Was that, now caught up in the bidding, is that when you bid twelve and then you also bid thirteen?
[0:51:10] Gavin: Uh, yeah. And then what I bid forty, well, the thing is, I got stuck with extra points last time and I was really annoyed about it the whole year. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I went, I maybe need to split the difference between those two approaches.
[0:51:23] Unidentified: Yeah.
[0:51:23] Eric: Well, we did it. Jeff has thirty dollars left over and could that be the tiebreaker here? Very interested to see where everyone lands. Uh, we got some real steals in here. Uh, have some stuff that maybe was overbid just a bit, but I think by and large we're probably right on the money with where stuff is gonna, like, land.
[0:51:40] Andrew: Once again, I'm so excited to see how this unfolds. Is Thunderbolt gonna be big? Some of these movies probably will get pushed, or at least one of them. Will we have another Horizon? Will Horizon get dated? That would be fuckin' crazy at this point. That'd be awesome.
[0:51:55] Geoff: That would be insane. I kinda, I feel like Nick's gotta be, Nick, you gotta be feeling pretty good right about now.
[0:52:01] Nick: Ah, dude, I feel great. I got the ones I think are gonna be blockbusters, so we'll see.
[0:52:05] Geoff: Yeah, I think you, you're dead on with that How to Train Your Dragon, man.
[0:52:08] Andrew: Yeah. Yeah, they're definitely banking on it. I will say, if you wanna play this game yourself, a person in our community does amazing stuff, regulationfan.com. They have a whole, like, template you can do so you can play with your friends. This season. It's fantastic.
[0:52:24] Gavin: And Nick, you got Mission Impossible for 29? Dude, that's a steal. That was a steal.
[0:52:29] Eric: Those movies make less than you would think. It's having it so early, I think. When you see that, and then down below it is How to Train Your Dragon, Lilo and Stitch, Superman, Jurassic World. You're like, well, where am I spending my money? Like, this is crazy. Yeah. That's really hard. It's really, really hard. I'm really excited to see how this all turns out. I really liked it last week with, like, the week-to-week sort of, like, totals dating it. Yeah. This is really exciting. This is great. I can't wait. I'm really, really pumped.
[0:52:57] Gavin: Yeah. I really hope people watch that turd Jurassic World movie.
[0:53:02] Geoff: It's got Scarlett Johansson in it, right? It's going to be popular. Yeah, it's got ScarJo. I have a question for you guys. Yeah, of course. I don't think this has been covered. I don't know if we covered it last year. What does the winner get this year?
[0:53:13] Andrew: I will reveal next time we record the podcast, I have a trophy.
[0:53:18] Unidentified: Wow!
[0:53:21] Eric: That's way better than my idea. That's so exciting. Well, remember, the dates of this are May 1st to September 22nd. That is it. That is a summer movie draft. Those are the dates, the beginning and the end. That's where money, domestic money, will be counted towards our totals. And I think that's it. Hey, guys, how are you feeling? Anything else?
[0:53:46] Andrew: I'm so excited to see just how it all plays out. I can't wait. Hell yeah. Thank you guys so much for doing this again this year. I cannot wait to, as I said, see how this all unfolds. Ballerina be the number one film of this summer. Clown in a cornfield is going to go off. Yeah, it's about to be crazy Juliet and Romeo style, baby. Absolutely. Thank you so much for watching. Make sure to check out our Patreon at The Regulation Pod. We got YouTube channels. [0:54:25] Nick: Bye. Let's all go. Goodbye. Goodbye.
[0:54:28] Unidentified: Goodbye. Goodbye. Goodbye.
